ok i fixed this issue by moifying the following registry setting:

HKEY_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompactFlags\Layers

string data: c:\program files\evemon\evemon.exe modify value to say WINXP as mine said WIN2000 for some reason.

Hope this helps others.

i think it may have something to do with having visual studio installed that screws it up when you update the evemon files.

woah, I don't even remember this thread! The registry key you mention is the application compatability layer structure, if you want to change it I recommend using Right Click -> Properties -> Compatability rather than editing the registry.
