Sometimes, unscrupulous players post "fake" killmails. These are both unfair and unfriendly. They ruin the fun and add unnecessary frustration to what should be an enjoyable time.

Luckily, the problem is not wide-spread and fake mails account for a relatively small portion of the total database here at BattleClinic.

When the staff here gets a request to take down a killmail, we unfortunately have to decline. We simply do not have the staff to arbitrate every dispute about who posted what and what is or is not a valid "kill." So our policy is that killmails are not deleted.

However, we realize that many players still have concerns. We have therefore created a feature where you can dispute the kill. You'll find a link, "dispute this kill" next to the comments button in any kill record we have on file.

I like the idea because it sure does kill the fun of seeing truly bad fits on the boards (or great ones that were overcame by smaller forces with better tactics).

I think you should have a system were, if a kill is disputed X times by X seperate players, then it should be sent to a volunteer admin of the killboards for either approval or denial

this would mean individual players can not lower there loses but the BC cummunity as a whole would have to agree that the killmail is a fake.... (i.e the titan kills with frig fittings, or the ships with 8 damage controls on but only 6 low slots)
