Allthough I have to agree with the "...how would we know what kind of features they want if we don't give em something to play with."
CCP could still be working on EvE (they'd be bankrupt) and they wouldn't have any idea whether we would like the bugs er "features".
On the other hand that's not a reason to give something extremely bugged out to the market. Not that any code will ever be free of bugs.

Ironic indeed! Using YouTube to advertise their own competitive views. Hah! I also agree with allowing the user to play with software initially, making feedback for future changes.

Microsoft are indeed pretty mad. Most of the reasons they were all up in Google's business were either patently wrong (OMG WHAT IF DOWNTIME--m$ has more downtime than Google), or reasons why I like Google anyway (experimental features).
