Hello fellow members,
Some of you may have become aware of our new initiative to help minimize mass fake KM's. Members with fewer than 50 posts will have to run through a captcha to manually post KMs. We chose to add this captcha after removing 44 fake KM's in a single night (worth over 10,000 points combined). We believe this will help the killboard in a few ways. First and foremost, members will have to potentially sacrifice their hard-earned BC account if caught faking killmails. Second, this will newly motivate our members to upload their API keys to BattleClinic in order to make for a more accurate board anyways. Third, it will help promote conversation amongst the community.
A couple things to note:
-Spamming to get to 50 posts will not be allowed. Spamming will be dealt with the same way as in years past.
-The easiest way to not be affected by this is to upload your API! Have your buddies (especially CEO's) upload theirs too! That way, this won't affect you!
In the end, we're trying to make BC the most accurate killboard possible. We will be exploring other tools that will aid in this initiative, but for now, keep on killing and...
